A gyöngybabot elõzõ este hideg vízbe beáztatom, majd másnap fazékba teszem, és felengedem annyi vízzel, hogy négy ujjnyira ellepje. Amikor felforrt, leszedem a habját. Babérlevéllel, sóval, borssal fûszerezem, és lassú tûzön háromnegyed puhulásig fõzöm. Közben a pórét karikákra vágom, és a vajban megfuttatom. Ezután megszórom a liszttel, kicsit összepirítom, majd lehúzom a tûzrõl, és meghintem a pirospaprikával. Most kevergetve a háromnegyedig fõtt babhoz adom, ha szükséges vizet öntök hozzá, beleszórom az apró kockákra darabolt zöldpaprikát, paradicsomot és az aprított petrezselymet. Lassú tûzön készre fõzöm, majd forrón tálalom.

- 40 dkg száraz fehér gyöngybab
- 2 babérlevél
- 1 szál póréhagyma
- 4 dkg vaj
- 2 evõkanál liszt
- 1 kiskanál pirospaprika
- 1 zöldpaprika
- 1 paradicsom
- 1 csokor petrezselyem
- só, õrölt bors
